BYD U9: The Future of Electric Super cars Has Arrived !

The Yangwang U9 is a high-performance electric supercar introduced by BYD Auto under its luxury sub-brand, Yangwang. Unveiled in April 2023, the U9 began production in August 2024 and is priced at approximately 1.68 million RMB (around $250,000 USD).

  • Powertrain: The U9 utilizes BYD’s e⁴ platform, featuring four independent electric motors that collectively produce up to 1,300 horsepower and 1,680 Nm of torque.
  • Performance: It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds and has achieved a top speed of 309.19 km/h.
  • Battery and Range: Equipped with an 80 kWh BYD Blade LFP battery, the U9 offers a range of approximately 450 km on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).
  • Charging: The vehicle supports dual charging with a maximum DC charging power of 500 kW, allowing for rapid charging from 30% to 80% in about 10 minutes.

  • e⁴ Platform This system provides precise control over each wheel’s torque, enhancing safety and performance by adjusting power distribution as needed.
  • DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System:** This advanced suspension system allows for adjustable ground clearance and can even enable the vehicle to perform vertical jumps, showcasing its adaptability and engineering prowess.
